Webpages on Squidoo are called Lenses and I've made a few. This was partially out of curiosity-just wanting to see whether all the fuss about Squidoo amounted to anything.
Just now I'm on a project I've mentioned in the Feed blog post.
Now that we've built a few feed blogs it's time to promote them. On the Net that means building links to them. Yesterday I wrote and submitted an article about software to boost my software blog and today to promote my Gadget site I just could not summon the required enthusiasm to write an article.
Everybody runs out of steam sometimes and this has to be built in to your strategy. My fall back for article writing is to create a Squidoo lens. And so today I was playing with Squidoo.
In direct linking terms this does not get you too far. Yes you can link from your Lens but of course a new Lens has very little link power. Anyhow it is one more piece of Internet Real Estate and that is worth claiming while it's there!
In the longer term of course the Lens itself has to be promoted and that may surprise some. There is no magic to marketing and promotion just a lot of hard work following along a well though out plan.
